Partner dance workshop coming!
Are you a partner dancer and would you like to learn something new? Then stay tuned because there is a West Coast Swing workshop coming up!

From the 23rd of November until the 21st of December, a series of 4 West Coast Swing workshops will be given. The workshops will start with the basics of the style and then go on to more advanced figures, so you will learn a lot in just 4 workshops! If you subscribe you will follow all the 4 courses and each week you will learn one or 2 of the main 5 basics of WCS, and then musicality and variations to each basic until you get them down.

The WCS workshops will be given on Thursday 23 Nov, 30 Nov, 14 Dec and 21 Dec from 17:30 till 18:45 and they will take place in our dance hall “Orbit”.
The workshops will be given by Claire from WCS Eindhoven, she has been doing this for a few years now and would love to show you the ropes! This a little piece from their website on what WCS is:

“West Coast Swing originates in the 1930’s from a dance called ‘Savoy Style Lindey’ in New York. Later, this dance was enjoyed by many soldiers in WWII, widely known as ‘Rock and Roll’ or ‘Jitterbug’ at the time.
Today, you can find many communities dancing West Coast Swing, with a more recent emergence in the Netherlands.
Something great is that you can dance to nearly ANY kind of music with West Coast Swing! So get on the dance floor and get your moves on!”

The series of 4 workshops will be €5,- for Footloose members. If you are a student but not a member you can still join, for you this series will cost €10,-. If your partner is not a member or a student, you will have to find another partner.

If this is your first time trying a partner dance style I would advice to join with someone with experience as this series will be a bit more high pace then the normal lessons as to teach everyone as much as possible.
