What is the Showcase?

If you are not yet familiar with The Showcase: it is the big dance performance of Footloose at the end of the year, where dancers can show family and friends what they have learned throughout the year. It promises to be a day full of exciting and energetic performances that you won’t want to miss!

Date

The showcase will take place on 6 and 7 June in the Grote Zaal at De Schalm.

On Saturday, 6 June, the Technical Rehearsal will take place. Lighting and stage positions will be set during this day. Attendance is not mandatory but strongly recommended. A detailed schedule per choreography will be shared in advance.

On Sunday, 7 June, the Dress Rehearsal and two performances will take place. The dress rehearsal will start early in the morning and will include a full run-through of the show without an audience.

Later that day, it’s showtime! ✨
The afternoon show starts at 15:00, and the evening show starts at 20:30. Both performances will be full shows with audience, lights, costumes, hair, and makeup — the moment we’ve all been working towards!

Theme 2026: Dreamscape

The theme of this year’s showcase is “Dreamscape”. The theme is about drifting through different dream worlds, where reality dissolves and imagination takes over. Every night, everyone dreams. It’s something we all share, yet something we experience completely alone. As we sleep, we travel to another place. We spend hours there, living full lives in a world only we can visit. By the time we wake, most of it has faded. Dreams can comfort us or frighten us. They surface our fears and reveal our deepest desires, showing us the lives we long for and the people we hope to become. We all go there. We all return. But every journey is different.
