Eindhoven Student Dance Association Footloose, with more than 450 members, is looking for a new Jazz teacher! We have weekly dance classes and performance projects all done by and with the help of students!
ESDV Footloose, established in 1991, is an Eindhoven based student dancing association striving to have as many students in Eindhoven dance. Footloose provides 450 members with dance classes, workshops, bonding activities and fun performances. Footloose focuses on inclusivity and equality. We want to be a welcoming place for every student, regardless of their gender and ethnicity. We reflect this in all our communication, thus in our dance classes too.
Footloose offers teachers the creative freedom in dance classes, allowing to give your own input and feedback.
Your job:
– Will consist of giving 2 lessons of 1 hour on Friday evenings during an academic year
– Involves teaching students of the Eindhoven University of Technology and Fontys, or other
– Includes opportunities for performances, projects and a lot of fun
– Takes place in a young and open-minded work environment on the TU/e campus
As a dance teacher, you are one of the many dance teachers of E.S.D.V. Footloose. Per week there are two dance classes – two different levels – which will take place on Friday evenings between 18.00 and 20.00. The classes take 1 hour each, with a maximum of 22 students. You prepare the dance classes yourself and can use our dance hall for that. The year is structured in 2 semesters, with after each semester a performance.
The job requirements:
– English speaking
– VOG (Statement of Conduct)
– Teacher certificate is appreciated, but not necessary
– Passion for teaching and enthusiastic about making choreos for performances
What Footloose offers you:
– Year contract which can be renewed every year
– Part-time: 2 hours a week on Friday evenings
– Working times between 18:00-20:00.
– Summer vacation, university holidays and special holidays are free from work
– Partly compensated for parking cost on the TU/e for working hours
Try-outs:
There will be a try-out class on either 23rd or 29th of January, depending on your availability, where our students can try-out the class.
Contract:
All teachers working at E.S.D.V. Footloose are hired as a freelancer (ZZP’er).
