Date
The showcase will take place on the 17th and 18th of June in the Parktheater! We will be dancing in the Hertog-Jan zaal.
On Saturday the 17th of June, there will be the Technical Rehearsal, where the lighting is installed and the placement on the stage is done. It is not required for dancers to be here, but it is very recommended! As dancer, this is your chance to become already familiar with the stage and the backstage. Depending on how many performances you do, it is not required to be there the whole day. A schedule per choreography will follow somewhere in May.
On Sunday the 18th of June, there will be the Dress Rehearsal and two shows. The dress rehearsal will start early in the morning and here, the whole show will be danced without audience. The afternoon show will start at 14:30, and the evening show will start at 20:30.
What is the Showcase?
The Showcase is a big dance performance at the end of the academic year, where all Footloose dancers can show what they have learnt throughout the year and present several choreographies to family, friends and all the people interested. Any Footloose member who is interested can create a choreography and encourage dancers to join the performance. The choreographies revolve around a common theme.
Previous showcases were a huge success due to attracting a lot of people interested in the performance and a perpetual experience for all the participating dancers.

Location
The Showcase is held in an actual theater: the Parktheater in Eindhoven! It is an opportunity for dancers to dance on a big stage, for a real and big audience. It also allows dancers to try themselves in a setting which is similar to where professional dancers work day-to-day.
Theme 2023: BREAK THE MOULD
Put an end to a restrictive pattern of events or behaviour by doing things in a markedly different way. Dancing is inclusive and open for everyone. All members of Footloose are welcomed and celebrated when looking for their true identity. The Showcase provides a moment for our dancers to show this true identity and to embrace it.
Members of Footloose break their mould by performing on a big stage for the very first time after participating in a yearlong intensive dance class program. It is the moment to showcase what each dancer has learned or created and to be proud of it. This one-in-a-lifetime experience brings all dancers closer together.
As a dance association, we love nothing more than dancing together. It is what connects us and makes us part of a community. This community is where friendships grow and memories are made. At times when we were not able to dance together, it was a great loss. This feeling showed how much we love and appreciate dancing together.
