ARRRe you ready for an amazing weekend with your favourite Footloose members?
This year the Footloose vakantie committee is organising a weekend away to Giethoorn!
And as you might have guessed the theme will be disco-pirates. So bring your best disco moves while you sail the seas of Giethoorn!

If you don’t have a student weekend OV, we can buy group tickets for the train. This cost will be settled later.

Traveling to Giethoorn can be done with two groups by train.
The first departure will be around 13:30 on the 25th. The second group will be at 16:45.

Aye aye, ye landlubbers!
We are the Disco Pirates, and from the 25th ‘til the 27th of April, we be settin’ sail for the fabled waters of Giethoorn. We’ve heard tell that ye be busy pirates indeed, and would like to know what treasures lie in wait afore ye commit to such a perilous voyage.
Worry not! There be plenty o’ gold and barrels o’ rum, but for the scurvy sceptics among ye, let us chart the course of our plunderin’:

We set sail on Friday!
For the early parrots leavin’ Eindhoven at 14:30, there be a mighty quest awaitin’ ye. Ye must go on an adventure to find the place where we’ll be layin’ our weary heads. See, we had a wee bit too much fun at the disco last night, and our daft captain’s gone and lost the map! The rest o’ the crew shall join us at the lodgin’ when they set sail from Eindhoven at 18:00.
In the evenin’, we get to know our salty crew and party like true disco pirates—with funky beats, wild dance moves, and rum flowin’ like the seven seas. We’ll dance like pirates on a beach, firelight flickerin’ and bottles clinkin’.

Saturday be the big day!
We’ll sail into Giethoorn and plunder all that can be plundered! New seas to discover, villages to raid, and perhaps some fine treasuries to buy—aye, we mean steal.
That night we feast like kings o’ the ocean! There’ll be singin’ of sea shanties and disco tunes, flagons of hoppy grog, and mayhem all around. But beware! A pirate’s life be a treacherous one, and no soul can be trusted. Ye’ll be learnin’ the sacred rules of singin’ and drinkin’—and should ye break ‘em… ye’ll be walkin’ the plank!

On Sunday, we pack up our chests and set sail back to Eindhoven. Fer the early parrots, we might have a surprise or two stashed below deck, though we suspect ye’ll all be mighty weary from the plunderin’.

Got any land-dwellin’ mates who don’t dance but still want to join our crew? We’ve a spot for ‘em too! For a small ransom o’ 10 – 15 gold coins (euros), they can climb aboard. But beware—they may have to scrub the galley floors, where they’ll be learnin’ to move those hips whether they like it or not.
